Adult Day Care Resources
The U. S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) supports institutions that provide nutritious meals for adults in the day care setting through reimbursement for meals and snacks. Learn more about the adult component of the CACFP from the USDA's Food and Nutrition Service Web site.
The National Food Service Management Institute has developed resources that support quality nutrition programs in the adult day care setting. These resources address the special nutrition needs of older and disabled adults in the CACFP program, and the provision of safe, nutritious, and appealing meals and snacks that meet the specialized CACFP Meal Pattern for Adults.
